Ok so I got up the courage to ask this guy I have liked for a long time to be my valentine this year just for one day. He said yes. Now we are trying to come up with something to do. He doesn't have much money and I have told him that doing the traditional eating out/chocolates/flowers is something I am not interested in. I am afraid that he will back out at the last minute. He has been known to make excuses and not follow through when he has promised me things in the past. I can't figure out if this means he's nervous or has something else better going on. My thought is that if he wasn't interested then he shouldn't say yes to begin with. I really hope we get to spend a day together so I'm not going to jinks it and think otherwise.
