Hey all, decided to write a blog. Whoo! Anyway there is a point I wanted to get to but first I have to tell a story.
So after a year of taking all sorts of terrible dating advice and none of it working I decided I would look to new things to learn. One of them was soccer. I have always been a sports guy but I wanted to learn a new sport. So after watching a ton of it, I went out and bought a soccer ball.
I have grown to love the game over the past couple of months so today my buddy decided he would go with me and we would actually play a bit on a field. We had a great time. However I realized something, I am the shell of the former athlete I was just a year ago (and my friend was in far better shape)
So between the inspiration from my friend to be in better shape and to be a better footballer I am going to join a local gym. Now I am not out of shape. I am not overweight. I just want to be better for no one else but me.
So what does all of this mean? Well it circles back to dating. I like active girls. I like girls who like sports. We can relate and in my opinion it shows she has a passion in something which I like. So, why not try to improve my overall athletic ability, to meet more people (specifically girls, lets not lie here) and improve myself at the same time.
A simple curiosity for a new game has led to a new passion and new goals for myself so I will post them here because I believe writing goals down where people can see them helps.
1. Build a stronger core-Doesn't have to be an awesome six back but I could stand to build a stronger core.
2. Increase upper body strength
3. Work on football skills in backyard or park everyday for at least 30 minutes.
