First and foremost I would like to give a personal shout out and thank you to Harlan for having this website and for writing "Getting Naked." I am not sure where I would put these thoughts without the site or even have anything to write about without the book. Thank you.

So I was on a day date with a girl I knew in high school. She graduated a year before I did and went to study in Spain. I will admit I did have a thing for her back then but was seeing another girl.

Anyway this was the second time we had met up since she got back about a month ago. Although she had grown as a person like we all have since 2 years ago, I find myself still attracted to her.

However it may be a different story had I not heard some words from a fraternity brother of mine at the end of the school year. He went "Andrew, you are too far in your own head. Express yourself, listen to people and dont be afraid and live in the moment."
I took these words to heart recently and found out that it has been huge. Before I followed these words I may have been thinking too much when I was with this girl. Things like "Should I say this? What would she think." All that nonsense. However by just being me, accepting she may not like me back and listening to her, I have found that she and I have a lot in common and she is someone I would like to be with.

So with that being said here is my advice to anyone who reads this; Be in the moment, because life is made up of moments you live, not moments you plan.

P.S. I am thinking of taking this girl out on a real "official" date however she is going overseas again at the end of the summer so we will see what happens. Can't plan it. Gotta live it.
